The Kimbo “Hold the Presses!” series is a humorous, irreverent, first-person narrative featuring a crime reporter for the Carry All News Service (CANS), set in the vague timeframe of the 1980s. Taking the reader along with him as he presents recollections of past and present cases, Kimbo liberally throws in references to current and occasionally future events, highlighting his adventures with quotations from old films and TV series while sharing his opinion on everything from genetically modified food to the state of the cultural arts.
